All general deer hunting discussed in this thread.

First good one of the year

He still has a few good weeks to grow, he ought to blow up before the end of August. I have some pics of what I think is him last year, but they were early and all he had some width. Looks to be an older buck to me.

Nice buck SBE. Is that one of those crimson tide AL bucks?

A good friend of mine got to sneak within 75 yrs of 10 bucks in a bachelor group on his property last week. He rough scored the 3 biggest in the 130's, and they still got another 6 weeks of growin! Not bad for middle TN deer.

I'm getting my "Trophy Rock" and "Bagger Buck" bags out this week while rain is in the forecast. Me, Tanner and Sam are gonna get our tree stands repositioned on our lease this week too - I hope.

We're shooting our bows at least 3 times a week right now and even though I'm playing a little golf all I can think about is our IL trip in November.

Not an AL buck, he is a true TN big boy. I have been shooting 2 or 3 times a week when I get in from work. I put my bagger buck out 2 weeks ago and put the camera up over it and a mineral lick. I hope to get some more pictures of another big boy or two before season in this new spot. I was working on a feeder two weekends ago on our casttle farm in TN and watched two very good bucks feeding in the hay field at 1:30 in the afternoon. One was pushing 130, very very wide, 5-6 inches past his ears already and good tine length. The other was a couple inches outside the ears and had mass all over. They are near the house and I doubt I hunt them much, but it was good to see.
